| 2018-12-19 | debian/tests/nm.py: Make assert_iface_down() not check the interface's state | Iain Lane | |
| We call nmclient.deactivate_connection() to terminate connections that the testsuite sets up, and according to upstream this is not guaranteed to do anything in particular to the link state. It seems that dnsmasq 2.80 somehow alters the previous assumption that it would be 'state DOWN', so the implementation detail we were checking previously no longer holds. The testsuite does still check that the IPs are removed from the interface, which is logically what we want anyway. (LP: #1805857) | |||
| 2018-11-29 | Make dep8 nm test directly invokable | Robie Basak | |
| By renaming the test to nm.py, it can be called directly with: python3 -m unittest nm To make this work, we also need to move required test setup and teardown code to setUpModule() and tearDownModule() accordingly, and move other "script" code into the __name__ == '__main__' idiom. This then allows easier debugging of failing tests by calling unittest to run a specific test using the usual method. For example: sudo python3 -m unittest nm.ColdplugWifi.test_open_b_ip6_raonly_no_pe | |||
